Actility - IoT Indoor Air Quality Solution

We spend up to 90% of our time inside, but how regularly do we think about the quality of the air we’re breathing? Unlike outdoor air, indoor air tends to be continuously recycled, causing it to trap pollutants and allow them to build up within these confined spaces. Actility Indoor air quality (IAQ) solution refers to monitoring the environmental characteristics inside buildings that may affect human health, comfort, or work performance. It allows monitoring in real-time the concentration of CO2 to create a safer and healthier indoor environment, protect employees, workers or students, and meet air quality regulations levels.

Key benefits

Optimization of air quality is essential for more healthy and productive working conditions.

CO2 concentration is a key indicator of air quality. The higher the CO2 value in a building, the less comfortable it becomes for the people inside. In poorly ventilated rooms, the CO2 concentration increases rapidly.

The EU Royal Decree of 2 May 2019 well-being code at work about indoor air quality, establish that the employer must take the necessary technical and/or organizational measures to ensure that the concentration of CO2 in the workplace is generally less than 900 ppm.

The Indoor Air Quality Solution:

  • Measures the indoor concentration of CO2 in an automatic manner and in real-time.
  • It is an intuitive, precise, and plug-and-play monitoring solution.
  • Interacts with humans and machines to understand the customer environment, context, and data qualifications.

The Indoor Air Quality solution is a complete offer dedicated to the monitoring and analysis of Indoor Air Quality, comfort, and ventilation in your buildings.

Zenner CO2 Indicator

A compact indoor EU868 LoRaWAN® radio sensor for measuring the CO2 content of indoor air. This product uses the photoacoustic principle to detect the CO2 concentration (ppm) in real-time, enabling more efficient ventilation behavior and faster response time.

With the integrated display and the color-changing LED display, the sensor always provides real-time information about the current CO2 value, the battery level, and the status of the LoRaWAN® connection.

It can be placed on any flat surface. In addition, the device can also be used "stand-alone", without a LoRaWAN® connection, e.g. at a meeting outside the company, when visiting a customer or a restaurant outside the range of the LoRaWAN® network.
However, without a LoRaWAN® connection, no remote monitoring or alarm can take place.

The device can be operated with an integrated rechargeable battery or with a standard 5V USB-A power supply unit. A standard USB-A power supply unit 5V is needed and not provided as part of the kit.
